About This Project

Mediterranean villa interior design in Cap Ferrat defines this refined seaside retreat overlooking the French Riviera. Located near Nice, the villa sits within one of the most exclusive coastal landscapes in Southern France. Due to strict regulations limiting exterior alterations, the project focused primarily on transforming the interiors into a luminous, sea-inspired sanctuary.

From the outset, Prima Design approached the villa as an immersive interior experience. Therefore, the concept draws directly from the surrounding Mediterranean environment. Throughout the home, materials and decorative elements evoke corals, shells, sand, and stones shaped by waves. As a result, the interiors convey a continuous dialogue with the sea.

Mediterranean Interior Design Inspired by the Sea

The Mediterranean villa interior design language unfolds through natural textures and soft tones. Warm woods, tactile surfaces, and handcrafted details sourced from Italy define the atmosphere. Moreover, custom furnishings and bespoke cabinetry reinforce a sense of craftsmanship and timeless elegance.

Light plays a crucial role in shaping the interiors. Large openings frame sea views, while pale finishes amplify natural brightness. Consequently, each room feels airy, relaxed, and deeply connected to the coastal setting.

Interior and Landscape Design in Balance

While exterior modifications were limited, the landscape design complements the interior concept. The project introduces two distinct outdoor expressions. At the main entrance, geometric and structured gardens echo the villa’s formal character. In contrast, the rear seafront area embraces a more organic Mediterranean landscape, inspired by coastal wilderness.

This dual approach strengthens the connection between interior spaces and their surroundings. In addition, it allows the villa to transition seamlessly from refined arrival spaces to relaxed seaside living.

A Refined Seaside Retreat in Cap Ferrat

Ultimately, this Mediterranean villa interior design in Cap Ferrat transforms constraint into opportunity. By focusing on materiality, light, and sensory detail, Prima Design created a calm yet expressive retreat. The villa now offers its owners an intimate connection to the sea, where architecture, interiors, and landscape merge into a single, harmonious experience.
