Outside In is a Mediterranean villa design in Salina that explores the relationship between architecture, interior design, and the island’s untouched natural landscape. Located on the Isle of Salina, Sicily, the project redefines contemporary island living through a seamless dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces.

From the outset, the villa was conceived to dissolve traditional boundaries. Interior spaces open naturally toward terraces, courtyards, and panoramic views of the sea, allowing light, air, and vegetation to become integral elements of daily life. As a result, the home offers a fluid and immersive Mediterranean living experience rooted in its surroundings.

Architecture Rooted in Place

The design draws direct inspiration from Salina’s volcanic terrain and coastal scenery. Earthy tones, handcrafted finishes, and organic forms echo the island’s raw beauty. Moreover, natural materials such as stone, wood, and textured plaster create a tactile environment that feels both authentic and timeless.
